2021 marks the 30th year that the Sri Vakrathunda Vinayagar Temple has supported the hard work of the Salvation Army. Over the years we have stood in rain, hail and shine collecting donations for the Red Shield Appeal, becoming one of the largest collectors for the Salvation Army. Most recently, we donated $10,000 to help support Australian’s suffering from the devastating 2020 bushfires.
We are proud to continue our partnership with the Salvation Army in their efforts across Australia, in cities, country towns and rural communities giving hope where it is needed most.
In a year which has been characterised with hardships, we ask our devotees to please contribute what you can to help support our community through these difficult times.
The Salvation Army has requested that due to COVID-19 that the 2021 Red Shield Appeal should be held virtually to protect the health and wellbeing of all. As we will not be able to collect donations from drivers or the local Basin community, we kindly request our devotees and members to please give what you can, any donation big or small is greatly appreciated.
May Sri Vakrathunda Vinayagar bless you and your family.
