Following yesterday’s announcement of the easing of restrictions in Victoria we are pleased to announce that the Temple will be open to devotees from 7am on Friday 11 June 2021.
We continue to follow the guidance of the Victorian Government in relation to places of worship, noting ‘religious services are to be capped at 50 attendees.’
Due to this requirement, the Temple management will only allow 50 devotees into the Temple at any one time. If more than 50 people come to the Temple, they will be asked to stay at the Canteen hall until someone from the Temple leaves.
We understand this is very frustrating for all, but it is the safest way to ease us out of the Lockdown.
Whilst in the Temple the following requirements will still apply:
- All devotees to wear masks at all times.
- All devotees are required to check in via the Victorian Government QR code app for contact tracing purposes. QR codes are located at both the front and rear entrances as well as the Temple Office.
The canteen will also be closed until further notice.
We kindly request that all devotees please be patient and support our staff in administering COVIDSafe policies in the Temple.
May Sri Vakrathunda Vinayagar bless you and your family.
