On the very first day of the 1st Kumbhabhishegam celebrations in 1992, the temple had a cold evening when the Homam was being done. Many people lifted the two doors and was largely complete, the front doors (currently the huge side doors) were yet to be fixed. It was slanted against the entrance wall away from the Moolsthanam. This was to keep out the cold. a cold evening, when the Homam was being done.

Many people lifted the two doors and As the Homam got underway and its intensity increased, all of a sudden the two doors slanted against the entrance wall away from the Moolsthanam. This was to keep out the cold. had been leaning against the entrance wall simply got pushed down, as though somebody from the Homam got underway and its intensity increased, all of a sudden the two doors which the outside was coming in. There was a huge thunderous noise. It was as though Vinayagar had been leaning against the entrance wall and simply got pushed down, as though somebody wanted to come in based on the invocations of the Homam.

Despite the fact that there was the outside was coming in. There was a huge thunderous noise. It was as though Vinayagar had many people sitting inside the temple, not one soul was hurt. Everybody who was there felt the presence of Vinayagar, and said that this was indeed a miracle.”
